To enhance the space and add the appearance of natural light, we added architectural features and mirrors to unite the bath areas split by the central shower.
To enhance the double vanity, we removed the standard mirror wall and replaced it with a custom framed double mirror with center panel. The lighting soffit was also treated with a panel detail to finish off the design.
A rope moulding was added to the inside edge of the mirrors and panels for a soft and feminine detail.
Custom Tub Mirrors
To dress up the tub area and bring the look from the sink vanity area to this side of the room we added coordinating mirror panels with a narrow shelf that furnishes the space nicely.
Tub Mirror Detail
To create the illusion of windows in a space without, we added a bank of mirrors above the three tub walls. The bottom shelf holds accessories that furnish the room and add warmth and texture to all the white enameled woodwork.
Rope moulding finishes off the inside edge of all the mirrors and panels and reflects nicely against the mirror glass. The water droplet chandelier and crown moulding create added dimension to the 9 ft high ceilings.
I love how a mirror placed towards another mirror sends an endless reflection within a room, creating a dimension like no other as it grabs shapes within the room. This image shares a glimpse of this reflected dimension in the tub area.
The endless reflection is captured in this shot. This space has opened up greatly with the placement of mirrors, you don't even realize there's no natural light because of the well-thought-out design.
Topiaries and textured greens are a great way to bring the outdoors in. Bathrooms should feel as furnished as the bedroom, with practical thought into the product selection.
